the late evening of Monday Feb. 13th, 2012 Breezy finally decided it was time to start really having these kids. She kept us on closeful watch for the 9 days n nights prior to this. As you see she is a very easy whelper and shows no signs other than tearing up papers and circling very restless until it is actually time for the pups to quietly present themselves. And I do mean quietly presenting themsleves....I learned this quickly with her first litter. You do not leave her at all, so John n I kept vigilant watch for 9 nights we slept on the couch n loveseat not to miss anything....anyway at 10:40 p.m she had her first one, a black boy followed by a black/tan boy then a black girl and a black/tan girl, a black boy, a black/tan girl n a black boy at 4:15 am. I then went to the computer a bit n came back to get them set up nursing and thought gee, this is more than 7 and counted over and over. There were 9. I do not know when the two late comers showed up but we had another black/tan boy and another black girl. So got them all drinking and tried to rest awhile....all looked good. Then on Tuesday evening I started supplementing because a few were being pushed aside....all went well. On Wednesday morning I had one limp little girl. I felt so bad because I felt I missed on doing more....
Well up until now all the rest are doing good. I am still supplementing 3 a little each day. Their eyes have all opened now and we just took 2 week pics. I still am not comfortable leaving them alone more than an hour. One of us is home at all times. Stay tuned....

About Me
- Gail Bohacek-Sheehan
- Hi, My name is Gail Bohacek-Sheehan (Nightingale Cockers). In October of 1982 we bought our first Cocker Spaniel puppy from a person unknown to us at the time - Jane Benthein (Schatzie Acres Cockers), Manitowoc, WI. Jane and I became best of friends. It was the cutest black female puppy,"Daisy". Later Jane and I bought a black n white puppy bitch, "Katie", "Schatzie's n Bo's Katie Jane". She produced my first champion. 'Ch. Nosowea's n Bo's No Trial", "Toby". Toby's offspring are still in the ring with Joanne Thorp today, "Nosowea's" Cudahy, WI. Then I purchased a silver buff female who became "Ch. Tri-Pod's n Bo's Picture This","Lacey", from Deb Podratz "Tri-Pod Cockers", MN. She, Lacey, produced "Ch. Nightingale's Double Take", "Tiffany" and "Ch. Nightingale's Classic Image", "Jamie". From "Tiffany" we still have the lines 8 generations later being "Nightingale's Golden Isle Breezes" "Breezy" producing "Nightingale's Mercy Me" and "Nightingale's Southern Jezebel".
